9 Measured value transmission to a WEB-VV server

3. A proxy server is usually a computer connected between the sig-
nal conditioning instrument and the Internet. With a proxy server it
is possible to check and limit the access of the signal conditioning
instrument to the Internet. Such access of the signal condition-
ing instrument to the Internet is, for example, carried out when
there is a WEB-VV data transmission. To ensure that these data
are transmitted via the existing proxy server, the settings shown
below must be made in the signal conditioning instrument.
Your network administrator knows if the Internet access should be
carried out via a proxy. He will also provide the necessary infor-
mation such as IP address, port, user name and password.

4. In conclusion, define a WEB-VV event as described under chap-
ter "Set up measured value transmission".
