6.1 Configuration of measurement

loop

Choose sensor type

By default, VEGAMET 514 was configured for
connection to a hydrostatic sensor. If you are
using another sensor, first of all you have to
carry out a "Reset TAG 1“ (confirm in the
menu item "Reset Now! OK?“ with the [OK]
key). Then move to the menu item "Sensor
type Hydrostatic“, there you choose the
sensor type with the keys [+] or [–] and
confirm with [OK].

You can modify the measurement loop name
"TAG-No. 1“, if you want a more useful desig-
nation.
Two lines with six characters each are avail-
able. To do this, move to the menu item "TAG
name …“.

Push [+] or [–] once. The first char-
acter of the measurement loop name,
in this example the letter T, flashes
(editing mode). Continue pushing the

[+] or [–] key, by this you scroll through the
alphabet, through all the numbers and
through a list of characters.

When you have reached the re-
quested character, push [–>]. The
next character will be activated and
flashes. Scroll again with [+] and [–]

to the requested character. With [–>] you
reach again the next character.

When you have finished the last posi-
tion of the name and you have "writ-
ten" the name of the measurement
loop in this way, you have to push

[OK] to save the setting. When you quit the
menu item without saving, the name of the
measurement loop is again "TAG-No. 1“.

In the display of measured value and
in all other menu items in which the
measurement loop name is stated,
you will now find the new designation.

6 Settings in the "reduced menu“

It is only possible to modify
the sensor type, when a
"Reset TAG 1“ was carried
out before.
