CKW Serial Interface Option Kit EN-7
Handshake
Used to define the flow control method during serial
communication. Selections are: None or XON/XOFF (ON-OFF).
Type
Used to define the type of serial communication interface to be
used. Selections are:
RS232 = Use only the default RS232 interface.
RS485 = Use only the optional RS485/422 interface.
When RS485 is selected, the next sub-menu allows turning the
address mode ON or OFF. The selections are:
AdrON = The user may enter a two digit address from 00
to 99. The default address is 01.
AdrOFF = The interface operation will be compatible with
RS422 standards with no address requirements.
Note: During RS485 operation, the selected address is used to
identify the scale that is sending or receiving serial data. Refer
to section “OPERATION” for more information.
Alternate Command
Used to define alternate command characters for Print, Tare and
Zero.

Represents the end of the menu.
