Select the appropriate recorder in the Recorder bar.

Do one of the three following possibilities:
a. To define a portion of tape to digitize, set the Mark IN and Mark OUT point
by either:
•
entering values directly in the Mark IN / Mark OUT fields
•
or clicking the Mark IN / Mark OUT buttons while the tape is rolling
b. To digitize an entire tape, select the Complete Tape option in the Options
group box.
c. To digitize the tape for a specific duration, select the Complete Tape
option and the Duration option in the Options group box, and enter a
duration value in the Duration field.
The digitization process will start from the beginning of the tape and then
stop after the pre-defined duration.

Enter the values for:
•
Clip Name
•
Tape ID

Assign a Level and Type by clicking the appropriate buttons, if needed.
6.
Click the Digitize button to start the clip digitizing process.
The Digitize button is disabled and the Abort button is enabled until the
process is complete.
7.
If necessary, the process can be ended by clicking the Abort button.
When the Abort button is clicked, a confirmation window appears.
Note
The recorder channel referred to in step 2 must reside on an EVS video
server so that the VTR Engine can obtain VITC/ANC-TC from the video.
This enables the digitize process to ensure frame accurate clip
creations.
