Three different operational modes are available: XNet only, GBE only and a
combined mode GBE + XNet.

Note

An SDTI connection is still required in all modes to access the data.

All the transfers are processed through the XNet.

GBE

NLY

Transfers for backup, i.e. backup clip, backup train (XStream), and restore
operations are processed through the Gigabit network. However, the

following operations are still performed through the XNet: Publish, Grab,
Backup Playlist, and data access. That is the reason why an SDTI
connection is still required in GBE Only mode.

This combined mode permits the transfers through the XNet when the
Gigabit network is not available, e.g. in case of disconnection of one server

from the Gigabit network.
