6.2 Wireless LAN Security
Wireless LAN security is vital to your network to protect wireless communications. If you do
not enable any wireless security on your ZyXEL Device, the ZyXEL Device’s wireless
communications are accessible to any wireless networking device that is in the coverage area.

Appendix B on page 128 for background information.
Configure the wireless LAN security using the Wireless screen. Click Basic > Wireless to
display the configuration screen. This screen varies depending on the option you select in the
Security Mode field.

6.2.1 WLAN Security Setup: WEP
To configure basic WEP key encryption, select WEP in the Security Mode field in the
Wireless screen.
