When you are done working, turn off the tablet using the tablet power switch in order to conserve
battery power.
•
The tablet will draw current from the battery whenever the power switch is in the on position. A small
current is drawn even in auto sleep and tablet auto shut-down modes, and will slowly discharge the
battery. It is a good idea to charge the battery and move the tablet power switch to the off position
before leaving the tablet unused for a number of days.
•
If the battery charge is low and the battery remains in the tablet for a long period of time (a week or
longer) with the power switch in the on position, the small trickle of current used by the tablet is likely to
discharge the battery so far that an internal protection circuit within the battery is activated. If this
occurs you will no longer be able to charge the battery. To preserve your battery, move the tablet power
switch to the off position before leaving the tablet unused for a week or longer.
•
For extended storage (a month or longer), Wacom recommends that the battery be at least half full
before you move the power switch to the off position. You do not need to remove the battery because
the power switch disconnects the battery from the tablet circuit when in the off position.
•
If your battery can no longer be charged or no longer holds a charge, the battery should be replaced.
