7 Turn the knob in the direction of the arrow (clock-
wise) and pull out the transfer belt unit.
If the CLEAR PAPER symbol flashes as shown on the
right, be sure to carry out step 6. If this action is not sufficient,
the paper may be torn or be left in the copier.
8 Remove any misfed paper on the transfer belt.
9 If the misfed paper is gripped between the rollers,
remove it by rotating the lever in the direction shown.
Caution
Do not touch the transfer belt. Touching it may cause image
failure.
10 If the misfed paper cannot be removed in step 9,
raise the exit guide of the fuser unit and remove
it.
