2.4 Connecting the
Power Cord
1 . Make sure that the Stand-by switch is in the OFF position.
2. Connect the Power Cord to the printer as shown in the figure below.
3. Plug the other end of the Power Cord into the ground outlet as
shown in the figure below.

CAUTION!
1. Make sure that the
printer Stand-by switch
is turned to the off
position before
connecting the power
cord to prevent possible
electric shock or
damage to the printer.
2. Use only the power cord
supplied with the printer.
Use of any other cord
may cause electric
shock or fire.
3. Connect the power cord
to a three-prong outlet
only, with the third prong
being a good ground
(earth) connection.
4. Even if the Stand-by
switch is turned off, the
primary power remains
ON, as this switch turns
on/off the secondary
power supply only.
When the printer is not
used for a long time,
disconnect the power
cord from the AC outlet.
