Troubleshooting
If you have any trouble, consult the following list.
The power to the system is not turned on.
• Make sure that the power cable is plugged into the AC outlet.
• Unplug the power cable from the AC outlet, wait for five seconds or more, then plug the cable in again.
The power is turned off during the operation.
• If the TIMER indicator is lit on the display, the timer is functioning. Cancel the timer.
• The PDR-155 enters Standby mode after the timer playback or recording is complete.
The sound is not heard.
• Make sure that the subwoofer’s power cable is plugged to the AC outlet.
• Make sure that the multi-split cable is connected correctly.
Make sure that you do not mix the SUBWOOFER CONTROL jack on PDR-155’s rear panel
with the
jack.
• Make sure that the speakers are connected correctly and the speaker cables’ core wires touch
the speaker connectors.
• Make sure that the correct input source is selected.
You need to select the connected component as the input source.
• Check to see if the volume level is set to minimum.
• Check to see if the muting function is working.
If the MUTING indicator is flashing, the sound is muted. Cancel the muting function.
• Check the output setting on the connected playback component.
• Make sure that the component is connected via the correct input jacks.
• Make sure that the input setting on the connected component is correct.
• Audio is not output during pause, slow playback, fast forward, and fast backward. Press
to resume play-
back.
Audio is output in monaural.
• While playing a video CD or MP3 file disc, if you press AUDIO and select 1/L (left) or 2/R (right), audio is out-
put in monaural. To switch back to stereo, press AUDIO and select stereo.
Note:
The setting is displayed on the screen. Connect the TV to check the setting on the screen.
Sound is not good.
• Make sure that the speaker cords are connected correctly. Check their polarity (+/–).
• Set each speaker’s distance and volume level.
• Connect the audio pin cables firmly.
No sound is output from the center speaker, surround speakers, or subwoofer.
• In some surround modes, sound is not output from these speakers.
STEREO:
Sound is output only from the front speakers and subwoofer.
No sound is output from the center speaker and surround speakers.
ORCHESTRA:
No sound is output from the center speaker.
The L-DR7 is designed to offer the best performance when you use a subwoofer SWA-155X, speakers D-
M7 and D-M3, and a DVD AV controller PDR-155. Onkyo does not guarantee the performance and is not
responsible for malfunctions caused by using other speakers or amplifiers.

About tonal quality
Tonal quality will improve and become stable about 10–30 minutes after you plug in the unit.
Tonal quality may be damaged if you bundle the multi-splitter cable along with the speaker cords.
