Intrusion Detection

The Intrusion Detection feature of the BLW-04EX limits the access of the

incoming traffic from the WAN port. When the SPI feature is turned on, all

the incoming packets will be blocked unless certain types of traffic types are

checked by the users. When the user checks certain types of traffic, only the

particular type of t raffic i nitiated from the Int ernal LAN will be allowed.

For example, if the user only checks “FTP service” from the Stateful Packet

Inspection heading, all the incoming traffic will be blocked except the FTP

connection initiated from the local LAN.

Schedule Rule

You can filter Internet access for local clients based on the “Rule Name,”

and time of day.

1. Click on “Add Schedule Rule”

2. Defi ne t he appropriate setti ngs for a schedule rule (as s hown in the

following screen).

3. Cl ick “OK” and then the “APPLY” butt on to save you r sett ings. (as

shown on previous page)
