Installing a DIMM
Attention
It’s very important to protect the printer controller board and any
associated circuit boards from electrostatic damage. Before performing
this procedure, review the antistatic caution on page 111. In addition,
always handle circuit boards by the edges only.

Turn off the printer and disconnect the
power cord and interface cable.

Using a screwdriver, loosen the nine
screws. (Do not remove them from
the printer.)

Remove two screws shown in the
illustration. Slide the panel slightly to
the right and lift it off the printer.

If you want to install more
memory, you have to
exchange the DIMM for DIMM
with a larger memory capacity.
