SETTING UP THE WAN PRIVATE LINE (T1)
You can connect the In-Skin Router (PZ-M649 card is required) to a digital private line (T1).
To do this, use the following procedure.
(1) Set line attributes for a T1 Line
(2) Shutting down and restarting the interface for the settings to take effect
(3) Save setting data
(4) Check the status of interface
Setting line attributes for a T1 Line
Set the line attributes of a T1 line if necessary.
The line attributes you can set are a type (default: b8zs) of line code (b8zs/ami), lbo (default: 0 [db]/0 to
132 [feet]), and the number of time slots for T1 (default: 12 time slots).
If you use default settings, you do not need to perform these settings.
To set line attributes of a T1 line, use the Serial0 in device config mode.
For details, refer to “Router Command Reference Manual”.
NOTE:
If you change a line attribute of a T1 line to another, you must shut down and restart the inter-
face for the change to take effect.
