Digital Voice Expansion Module (DVEM)
The Digital Voice Expansion Module houses a maximum of 12 Digital Voice
Modules (DVMs). It serves as an extension to the 6 DVMs mounted on the
associated T1/E1 Voice Module.
Physical Description
The Digital Voice Expansion Module has 12 receptacles arranged in three groups
of four to house 12 Digital Voice Modules. Toward the rear is the module switch
group used for configuring the physical location of the module within the Passport
4400 device.

On the right front are 13 indicators. At the center and on the left side are three
feed-through stacking connectors used to connect the Digital Voice Expansion
Module to the T1/E1 Voice Module below it and to any expansion module above it.
Note: The Digital Voice Expansion Module must be physically installed
directly on top of the T1/E1 Voice Module or another Digital
Expansion Module.
