Instructions for the data fields

Set the entry number (1-64). Packet Filtering is processed from
the lower entry number to the higher entry number. A newly
assigned entry number overwrites the previous one.
Type
Select Permit or Do Not Permit. When a packet meets all the
conditions specified, whether to pass (Permit) or not (Do Not
Permit) the packet is carried out.
Direction
Select W
L or L
W. Specify whether the packet is inbound
from (W
L) or outbound to (L
W) WAN.
Source IP
Address
Enter the source IP address(es) of Packet Filtering.
• When a single IP address is desired, enter the IP address in the
upper data field.
• When a range of IP address is desired, enter the lower number
of IP address in the upper data field and the higher number of IP
address in the lower data field. For example, to enter the IP
address from "192.168.0.3" to "192.168.0.10", enter
"192.168.0.3" in the upper data field and "192.168.0.10" in the
lower data field.

" in the upper data field substitutes all the IP addresses.
Source Port
Set the source port number(s) of Packet Filtering.
• When a single port is desired, enter the port number in the upper
data field.
• When a range of port is desired, enter the lower port number in
the upper data field and the higher port number in the lower data
field.
For example, to set the port numbers from 2000 to 3000, enter
"2000" in the upper data field and "3000" in the lower data field.

Destination IP
Address
Enter the destination IP address(es) of Packet Filtering.
The input rules are the same as those of "Source IP Address".
Destination Port
Set the destination port number(s) of Packet Filtering.
The input rules are the same as those of "Source Port".
The port numbers from 60000 to 60016 are only available for the
KX-HGW600.
Protocol
Select the protocol(s) to send or receive data. TCP, UDP,
TCP&UDP, TCPEST or TCPFIN are available.
Log Output
Store temporarily the record of packet information and specify
whether or not to display the log on the Packet Filtering Log
window. To view the log information, check the check box.
