8 Holding the handle of the upper guide plate,
lift it slowly and fully.
● Be careful not to allow the guide plate to drop.
● Remove any misfed paper.
Pull out the automatic duplexer slowly
until it comes to a stop.
Caution: Be careful as the metal part of the
guide plate of the automatic duplexer may be
hot.
Push the lever, and then holding the
handle of the lower guide plate, lift it
slowly and fully.
● Make sure that the guide plate is latched to
prevent it from dropping.

Close the lower guide plate.
● Holding its handle with your right hand, lift
the lever up to unlatch the guide plate and
lower it slowly.

Lower the upper guide plate slowly. 11
Push in the automatic duplexer slowly and
fully.
