Problems, Causes, and Remedies

Problem

Cause

Remedy

Camera does not power on

Use a fully charged battery or the power
module.

Remove the memory card from the camera and
try to turn the camera on.

Camera does not power on when
the power module is used

The power module may not be
fully inserted.

Be sure the cable is fully inserted into the power
module (see

page 3-2

).

• You will feel and hear a soft "click" as the

cable is inserted properly in place.

• You may have to use a considerable amount

of push to "click" the cable in place.

Nothing appears in the Top Status
LCD

Battery is exhausted.

Replace the battery (see

page 3-4

).

Battery is improperly installed.

Insert the battery properly.

Part of the Battery icon is off in
the Top Status LCD

Battery is low.

Have a fresh battery ready.

The Battery icon blinks in the Top
Status LCD

Battery is exhausted.

Replace the battery (see

page 3-4

).

Battery is not functioning for
unknown reason

Remove, then insert the battery and turn the
camera on.
