Entering Text
Symbol Mode
Your phone provides an alternative way to find and enter symbol
characters in a text message. You can view and select from a
variety of available symbols.
To activate symbol mode from any text entry screen, press M
and select the 6\PERO menu option.
To enter a symbol in symbol mode:

1 Press a number
key one time display its symbol options (see the
“Symbol Chart” on page 61)
The symbols associated with the key
you pressed are shown at the bottom
of the display. If necessary, press
other keypad keys to find the symbol
you want.

S
or
the number key
multiple times
highlight the symbol you want
3 Press
6(/(&7 ( + )
add the highlighted symbol to the
text area at the top of the display
