Entering Text
General Text Entry Rules
Use the keypad to enter letters, numbers, symbols, and other
characters with the tap method. Press the same key repeatedly
to cycle through available characters (see the “Character Chart”
on page 59):
Msg:
CANCEL
BROWSE
Press navigation
key left or right
to move flashing
cursor to the
left or right in
text message.
Press navigation
key up or down
to change
character in block
cursor to
uppercase or
lowercase.
Press a number
key to enter text
at flashing cursor
location.
Press a number
key as many times
as necessary to
enter the desired
character.
Press and hold
a number key to
cycle between tap
method and numeric
text entry mode.
