Place the heatsink on the processor
Never power on unless the heatsink is properly and firmly attached.
Apply the Thermal cream
After installing the CPU you need to apply
the Thermal cream to the top of the
installed CPU.
Position the CPU
Position the CPU above the socket such
that its marked corner matches the base
of the socket lever.
WRONG WAY to Install the Heatsink
This illustrator shows the WRONG way to
install the heatsink. Do not tilt the heatsink
because doing so heatsink will not be
properly and firmly attached.
Warning: Do not apply voltage until the heatsink is fully installed. If not, the processor
will overheat and failure will result.
