If it has already been created, the LCD will show:

• If you are creating the scramble box, go on to step 5.
• If you are modifying this scramble box, use the numeric keypad to enter the
four-digit scramble code you’ve entered.
If you enter the correct code, you’ll see all the information in this box, then go
on to step 5.
[0]32l0 Key:1234
If you enter an invalid code, the fax machine will reject the attempt and abort
this operation.
5. Use the numeric keypad to enter the last four-digits of the remote fax
machine’s Subscriber ID.
[0]3210 Key:---
And, enter the four-digit scramble code (0000 through 9999).
[0]3210 Key:1234
Note: If you wish to modify these settings, use the one-touch key a to move
leftward, the one-touch key b to move rightward.
6. Press mode/enter to save this setting.
** Completed **
7. To create or modify another scramble box, repeat step 3 through 6. Or press
stop to return to standby.
Now, your fax machine will scramble your received documents.
Clear Scramble Box
1. Press program , 8 , mode/enter , 3 .
Set Scramble Rx
2. Press mode/enter .
If 0 is the box you want to clear, skip to step 4.
3. Use the numeric keypad to enter the scramble box number.
4. Press mode/enter .

5. Use the numeric keypad to enter the four-digit scramble code you’ve entered.
[0]32l0 Key:****
6. Press mode/enter .
If you enter the correct code, you’ll see the all information in this box then go
on to step 7.
[0]3210 Key:1234
If you enter an invalid code, the fax machine will reject the attempt and abort
this operation.
7. Press contrast/cancel to clear the scramble box.
Erased
8. To clear another scramble box, repeat step 3 through 7. Or press stop to
return to standby.
