Bypassing the BIOS passwords
The Bypass Password jumper on the system board lets you bypass the BIOS
passwords.
To bypass the BIOS passwords:

Follow the instructions in
“Preventing static electricity discharge” on

Turn off the server, then disconnect the power cord and all other cables
connected to the server.

Remove the side panel. For more information, see

Place the jumper across pins 1-2 of jumper J13.

Close the case, then reconnect the power cord, monitor, and keyboard. For
more information, see
“Closing the server case” on page 28
Warning
Moving the jumper while the power is on can damage your
server. Always turn off the server and unplug the power
cord and all other cables before changing the jumper.
