Focus Assist Light

Sometimes in low-light situations, the camera will use the red

focus assist light on the front of the camera to aid in focusing.

This setting allows you to turn off this light (for example,

when you do not want the focus assist light to distract the

subject of your picture).
The default Focus Assist Light setting is Auto.
1. In the Setup Menu (page 121),

select Focus Assist Light.

2. In the Focus Assist Light sub-

menu, highlight a setting.

3. Press the

button to save the

setting and return to the Setup

Menu.

NOTE: HP recommends leaving this setting at Auto, since

turning it off hinders the ability of the camera to focus

correctly in low light.

The new setting remains in effect until it is changed again,

even when you turn the camera off.
