Appendix B - Wiring Color Codes for Europe and
U.S./Canada
The following tables contrast AC and DC wiring color codes for Europe
and the United States/Canada. In the U.S., the National Electrical
Code (NEC) is the mandating authority; in Canada, it’s the Canadian
Electrical Code (CEC). Most of Europe abides by the International
Electrotechnical Commission’s (IEC) wiring color codes. The tables
also list the labels that Magnum Energy applies to identify AC/DC
wiring usage in its inverters.
