5.11 Connecting the Generator
Depending on the purchase order, the Automatic Switch Box is equipped with terminal strip "1_1-X6/
Generator". You can connect a generator to this terminal strip.
Cable requirements:
☐ The cross-section of the insulated conductor has been selected due to the nominal power of the
generator.
☐ If the generator has no output fuse, the cable is laid in such way that it is protected against
ground faults and short-circuits.
☐ In case of longer cable routes, an additional fuse box is installed in proximity to the generator.
Connection terminals:
Bridge in terminal strip "1_1-X6/ Generator"
The connection terminals "N" and "PE" of the terminal strip "1_1-X6/ Generator" are bridged.
Output fuse of the generator has an impact on the design of the cable in the PV plant
Note that the design of the output fuse of the generator influences the design of the cable in the
PV plant.
