5.7 Connecting the Feed-in Meter
Connection terminals:
2. If a feed-in meter does not need to be connected to the Automatic Switch Box, bridge the
terminal strips "AS-X5/ PV Meter" and "AS-X1/ Load Meter“.
3. Insert the cable (see section 5.2).
4. Connect PE to terminal strip "AS-X5/ PV Meter". Take the labeling on the connection terminals
into account.
5. Connect N to terminal strip "AS-X5/ PV Meter". Take the labeling on the connection terminals
into account.
6. If you use the Automatic Switch Box M, connect L to terminal strip "L1" of the connection terminal
"AS-X5/ PV Meter".
7. If you use the Automatic Switch Box L, connect L1, L2 and L3 to the terminal strip
"AS-X5/ PV Meter". Take the labeling on the connection terminals into account.

The labeling of the connection terminals as well as the procedure for connecting the
Automatic Switch Box M is identical.

Destruction of the Automatic Switch Box due to missing back-up fuse.
To limit a possible short-circuit current from the power distribution grid and to protect the cables
in the Automatic Switch Box, a fuse between feed-in meter and the Automatic Switch Box is
necessary.
• Install a line fuse between the Automatic Switch Box and the feed-in meter. Take the
nominal current, the short-circuit switching capacities and the maximum cut-off current into
account (see section 10 ”Technical Data”, page 53).
