The "Corner as datum" probing cycle identifies the angle and
intersection of two straight lines. In addition to datum setting, the
cycle can also activate a basic rotation. The TNC has two soft keys
for you to decide which straight line you wish to use for this. The
soft key ROT 1 activates the angle of the first straight line as basic
rotation and the soft key ROT 2 the angle of the second straight
line.
If you wish to activate the basic rotation in the cycle, you must
always do this before datum setting. After you set a datum or write
to a zero point or preset table the ROT 1 and ROT 2 soft keys are
no longer displayed.
