Circular arc G182/G183 Geo

G182/G183 defines a circular arc in a contour of the YZ plane. The

direction of rotation is visible in the help graphic.
”Chamfer/rounding B” defines the transition to the next contour

element. When entering a chamfer/rounding, program the

theoretical end point of the contour element.
”Intersection selection Q” specifies the end point if the path

intersects an arc and the end point is not defined.
Parameters

Y, Z:

End points

J, K:

Center (J=Y direction, K=Z direction)

R:

Radius

Q:

Selection of point of intersection – default: 0

For transition to line segment:

Q=0: Near intersection

Q=1: Far intersection

For transition to circular arcs:

Q=0: Far intersection

Q=1: Near intersection

B:

Chamfer/rounding

B no entry: Tangential transition

B=0: Nontangential transition

B>0: Radius of rounding

B<0: Width of chamfer

Programming

Y, Z: Absolute, incremental, modal or ”?”

J, K: Absolute or incremental.

End point cannot also be the starting point (no

complete circle)
