User’s Guide
User
From the main menu, press selection button 2, corresponding to ‘User’ to view user data:
These are not the Windows user name or ID.
User names are important in lock, protect, and release situations. The user who “owns” a lock
or protect is identified by a user name.
Press selection button 8, corresponding to ‘Exit’, to return to the main menu.
Panel
From the main menu, press selection button 3, corresponding to ‘Panel’ to view panel data or
change the panel ID:
When this sub-menu appears, the numeric keypad becomes enabled (and illuminated). The
keypad represents the numbers shown here, although the numbers do not appear on the actual
buttons of the panel. The panel’s button legends will probably be related to device categories.
Use the keypad to enter a new panel ID. The new entry appears in place of the dashes in the
display.
Press selection button 7 to cancel your entry and return to the main menu.
Press selection button 8 to save the new panel ID and leave menu mode, returning to normal
operating mode.
The panel submenu also shows the panel’s IP address.
The panel acquires its IP address through DHCP on the system controller’s panel/router
network unless someone in your administration has used the Static Panel Configuration
Utility to force the panel to have a static IP address.
