Software Requirements
Software Requirements
8985FSP software version 1.2.0 requires the presence of an 8900NET
Network Interface module running software version 4.0.2 or later for con-
figuration and proper operation. There are no longer local front edge con-
trols for this module.
Check the software version of your 8900NET module by navigating to the
Frame Status web page (
) and noting the software
version given below the frame graphic.
The latest 8900NET module software update is available at the following
URL:
http://gvg.custhelp.com
This will take you to the Grass Valley Customer Service FAQ data base. To
download the latest 8900NET software, do the following:
1.
Navigate to the FAQ site and click on the first FAQ, DOWNLOAD THE
LATEST SOFTWARE?
2.
Select the 8900 Series link.
3.
Select the link to the latest 8900NET Interface module software.
4.
If you are updating from version 3.2.0 or higher to version 4.0.2, you
may use either the .fld or .bin file.
If you are updating from an earlier version than 3.2.0, use the .bin file
and the FTP Server procedure described in detail in the 8900NET
Instruction Manual available on-line.
5.
You may also use the NetConfig Networking Application option to
update from version 3.2.2 to version 4.0.2 with the .fld file as described
in the 8900NET Release Notes documentation.

If you cannot find the 8900NET software on the FAQ site, software may also
be downloaded directly from the Public folder on the Grass Valley ftp site at
ftp://ftp.thomsongrassvalley.com/pub
