2 Quick start
UCHM service flow
When using UCHM for the first time, follow the common service flow.
Prerequisites
For UCHM to operate correctly, deploy a Lync monitoring server on the monitored Lync network and
install the Lync SDN API on the front-end Lync server.
A Lync monitoring server collects service quality information for Lync calls or video conferences. If a Lync
monitoring server is not installed, the details of call records in UCHM might not be complete.
The Lync SDN API is a programming interface used to access Lync diagnostic data (for example, Lync call
quality information).
One or more addresses (addresses of the iMC servers), to which the Lync SDN API pushes data, must be
configured when the Lync SDN API is installed. Multiple addresses must be separated by semicolons (;).
For example,
and
http://10.153.89.126:8080/imclyncrs/receiveMSApiData, where 10.153.88.118:8080 and
10.153.89.126:8080 are the IP addresses of the IMC servers.
IMC UCHM 7.1 (E0301) supports only Lync SDN API 2.0. Download Lync SDN API 2.0 and the
installation guide at

Importing Lync servers and PSTN gateways
UCHM uses the auto discovery function to automatically detect and import Lync severs and PSTN
gateways on the network. To perform an auto discovery:
1.
Click the Service tab.
2.
From the navigation tree, select UC Health Manager > Resource Management > Lync Servers.
The Lync Servers page appears, as shown in
3.
Click Auto Discover.
The Auto Discovery page appears.
4.
Click Select File to select the topology configuration file.
5.
Click OK.
The system starts to scan for Lync servers and displays the result on the Auto Discovery Result page.
