Grounding the router with a grounding strip
If a grounding strip is available at the installation site, connect the grounding cable to the grounding
strip.
Follow the same procedures in "
Grounding the router through the rack
" to connect the grounding cable
to the grounding strip.

Grounding the router with a grounding conductor buried in the
earth ground
If the installation site has no grounding strips, but earth ground is available, hammer a 0.5 m (1.64 ft) or
longer angle iron or steel tube into the earth ground to serve as a grounding conductor. The steel tube
must be zinc-coated. Weld the yellow-green grounding cable to the angel iron or steel tube and treat the
joint for corrosion protection.
Installing a 3G SIM card
CAUTION:
To avoid damage to the 3G SIM card holder, do not use excessive force when installing the 3G SIM card.
Only the MSR 26-00-5 router supports a 3G SIM card. The 3G SIM card is not hot swappable on the
MSR 26-00-5 router.
The MSR 26-00-5-GU-CNDE router supports the WCDMA/GSM SIM card. The MSR 26-00-5-GT-CNDE
supports the CDMA2000 SIM card.
