Grounding the router
WARNING!
Correctly connecting the router grounding cable is crucial to lightning protection and EMI protection.
IMPORTANT:
The resistance reading should be less than 5 ohms between the chassis and the ground.
The MSR 26-00-10 router, MSR 26-00-17 router, and MSR 26-30 router each comes with a grounding
cable. The MSR 26-00-5 router comes with a ring terminal but no grounding cable. You need to
purchase a grounding cable for the MSR 26-00-5 router.
Attaching the ring terminal
1. Use the wire-stripping pliers to strip 5 mm (0.20 in) of insulation sheath off one end of the
grounding cable.
