Description

Details

LOS

Indicates whether a Loss Of Signal

condition currently exists.

Major alarm that occurs when no pulses

(ones) are detected in over one hundred bit

times.

LOF

Indicates whether a Loss Of Frame

condition currently exists.

Major alarm that occurs when the receiver

circuitry is unable to locate the framing bit in

the received T1 signal.

AIS Rx/Tx

Indicates whether Alarm Indication

Signal is currently being received or

transmitted.

AIS is declared when the port receives a

pattern of unframed all-ones. A QUAD T1 port

transmits all-ones when it is in a local loop.

RAI Rx/Tx

Indicates whether Remote Alarm

Indication is currently being received

or transmitted. RAI is also called

Yellow Alarm.

When received, it indicates the remote device

is in a Red Alarm condition (LOS, LOF. AIS).

The port will transmit RAI when it is in a state

of LOF, LOS or is receiving unframed all-ones.

Slip

Timing slip indicator.

Indicates whether timing slips have occurred

during the current fifteen-minute interval.

CRC6

Indicates whether the configured

threshold for ESF errors has been

exceeded during the current 15-

minute interval.

Cyclic Redundancy Check is an error checking

method used on ESF T1s only. This status

information is not applicable to SF T1 circuits.

CGA

Indicates status of Carrier Group

Alarm.

CGA is true if an LOS, LOF or AIS condition

exists.

Restore State

Indicates in-service or out-of-service

status of each T1 port.

IMUX modules will remove a T1 from service if

configurable alarm conditions occur.

P) display

performance data

Calls a submenu that gives access to

up to 24 hours worth of performance

statistics.

Accesses 13 different types of reports, and a

command to reset registers. See the section

"

T1 24 Hour Performance

".

T) threshold

status

Calls a submenu with counter values

for seven alarm thresholds.

Indicates whether currently configured alarm

thresholds have been exceeded. See the

section "

Threshold Status

".

C) display T1

counters

Calls a submenu that displays current

values of three T1 counters.

See the section "

QUAD T1 Counter Menu

"

X) exit this menu

Exits to menu above.

Returns the user to the Performance Menu.
