External Timing An 8-pin DIN connector on the CIM supports connection of an
external timing source. Use cable P/N 458-501784-006 to connect
to a module in another shelf as the timing source or cable P/N 458-
501786-003 for bare wire. The timing source used must provide a
1.544 Mbit/s signal.
