The front panel has five Light Emitting Diodes (LEDs).

Steady Green
Power and the module is not the shelf controller. This is typical.
Blinking Green to Off
Power and the module is the shelf controller, should not occur with an SCM present
in the node.
Amber
Shelf master negotiation is in progress. Normal during power-up cycle.
LED State

The port is not in service. See

Solid Green
The port is in service with no alarms or loopbacks.
Solid Red
The port is in service with one or more major alarms.
Solid Amber
The port is in service and a loopback or test is in effect, or a yellow alarm (RAIS) is
being received.
Blinking Amber to
Red
The port is in service, a loopback or test is in progress, and errors are detected.
