OPERATION

Powering up and backlighting

Note: Once enabled, the LCD will remain backlit until the tester is powered
OFF. The backlight selection screen (above) is always lighted during the
3 second period that it is displayed. This allows you to turn the tester
ON in a dark area and SELECT backlighting during the process.

SEL BACK LITE ON

TURNING ON: Press the power button (PWR) and
release to turn ON the tester. The "backlighting"
screen appears (above). Pressing the select (SEL)
button while this screen is present turns on LCD light-
ing ("backlighting"). Backlighting is important when
working in dim light but shortens battery life.
