16.3 Cleaning
Clean the external case of the PrimeTest 300 with a
clean dry cloth.
Avoid using solvents and abrasive scouring agents to
clean the external case of the PrimeTest 300.
Check the battery contacts and compartment are free of
electrolytic contamination.
Any
contamination
of
the
battery
contacts
or
compartment should be cleaned with a dry cloth.
16.4 Battery Charging
Never attempt to recharge non-rechargeable
cells in the PrimeTest 300. Always check that
the correct NiMH batteries are fitted before
connecting the charger.
Only use the Seaward PT- 01 charger to
charge the batteries in the PrimeTest 300.
The PrimeTest 300 is supplied with re-chargeable NiMH
batteries.
Power the unit off using the red OFF button, ref fig. 1 (3)
Connect the battery charger to the mains. Once the
charger is connected to mains it is ready for use.
Connect the battery charger to the charger input socket,
ref fig. 2 (7).
Refer to the instructions supplied with the PT-01
charger. The batteries should typically be fully charged
within 4 to 5 hours.
Note: When the external battery charger is plugged
in, the PrimeTest 300 will automatically be
switched off. It is not possible to use the
instrument
while
the
batteries
are
being
charged.
