Internal Relay checks – Before applying power to the
EUT the PrimeTest 300 performs a series of internal
safety checks to verify that internal relays are working
properly.
Once the test has started it will run for the duration set.
To end the test sooner, press the red STOP key.
11.5 Class I Leakage Current
Refer to Fig 7
This test is applicable on Class I Equipment.
The Class I Leakage Current Test displays the current
flowing in the earth conductor of the EUT. This is
measured by determining the difference in current
flowing in the live and neutral conductors.
The Tester displays the result in milliamps (mA).
Warning: Always test the earth continuity
before performing a Class I Leakage Current
test.
Warning: An insulation resistance test is
recommended
before
performing
any
powered test.
Warning: Always check that an appliance with
moving parts (e.g. an electric drill) is safely
mounted
to
avoid
risk
of
damage
to
equipment or personnel.
Attention: Avoid prolonged, repeated use at
full load (13A) and excessive test duration as
this may reduce the life of the unit.
