Interface Communication Issues

Losing data; extra lines;
printing strange
characters. Database problem.
Communications Problem.
Loosing Power. Check data in database
program. Check cable and
connections. Monitor Power.
No communication
Disconnected/damaged data
cable.
Improper port selection within
printer driver.
Computer issue.
Printer issue.
Check connection. Replace
cable.
Check driver port selection.
Cycle printer power and
reboot computer.
Test from known good
computer/cable/software.
Call for service.
LCD Display Issues
CONDITION PROBLEM SOLUTION
No LCD display
Power not on
Bad LCD Display
Turn on power. If still no
display see Power Problems.
Have technician replace LCD
display.
LCD display characters
shifted
or
LCD display shows
garbage characters
Power issue: Low voltage or
Noise.
Static electricity.
Power printer off/on.
Incorporate use of static
touch pad or mat, to
discharge static energy
before touching unit.
If problem persists, call for
service.
LCD display shows solid
black lines/squares
Board logic problem Call for service.
