1.1.3 MBS / PTR (MANUAL BYPASS SWITCH AND POWER TRANSFER RELAY:
The Power Transfer Relay (PTR) provides off-line UPS function and allows the UPS
controller unit to be removed for replacement without interruption of power to the critical
load. It provides a power flow path to the critical load from the UPS controller unit when
the input line voltage is out of range or fails.
The Manual Bypass Switch (MBS) provides a means of transferring the input line power
directly to the critical load and allows the Battery Backup System to be removed.
