Turning the Password Lock On or Off
Procedure:

to access the menu.

to Passwd Lock and press

to select.

Enter your current four-digit password.
See Step 2 in Accessing the Radio from Password on
page 69.

If the password is correct:
Press
e
to enable Password Lock. The display shows 9
beside Enabled.
OR
Press
e
to disable Password Lock. The 9 disappears from
beside Enabled.
OR
If the password is incorrect:
The display shows Wrong Password and automatically
returns to the previous menu.
NOTE: At Step 6, you can also use
<
or
>
to change the
selected option.
Changing the Password
Procedure:

to access the menu.

Enter your current four-digit password.

OR
If the password is incorrect:
The display shows Wrong Password and automatically
returns to the previous menu.

Enter a new four-digit password. See Step 2 in Accessing
the Radio from Password on page 69.

Re-enter the new four-digit password. See Step 2 in
Accessing the Radio from Password on page 69.
