Cleaning the drain
pump
This is necessary if the washing
solution has not been completely
drained.
The pump is blocked by either loose
debris or fluff which accumulates if
fluffĆgiving fabrics are washed.
Drain the water
i
Provide a suitable receptacle for
up to 20 litres.
d Risk of scalding!
Allow the hot water to cool down.
Keep children and pets away from the
washing machine.
q Turn the programme selector to
Off.
q Open the service flap.
Insert a pointed implement into
the opening and rotate the service
flap in a clockwise direction.
q Remove the service flap.
q Take the drainage hose out of the
holder and pull out of the housing.
q Carefully remove the sealing cap
and allow the water to flow into
the receptacle.
q Put the closing cap back on the
hose.
q Carefully unscrew the pump
cover. A little more residual water
will flow out.
q Remove foreign objects/fluff from
inside and clean the interior.
The pump impeller wheel must be
able to rotate.
q Remove detergent residue and
fluff from the pump cover thread
and pump housing.
q Insert and close the pump cap.
q Insert the drain hose into the
holder.
q Insert and close the service flap.
To prevent unused detergent from
flowing into the drain during the next
wash cycle:
q Pour 1 litre / 1 ¾ pt of water into
chamber II.
q Select the Drain b programme.

This is necessary if very little or no
water flows into the washing machine.
Release the water pressure in
the supply hose
q Turn off the tap.
q Turn the programme selector
toĂany programme
(except Spin B / Drain b).
q Press Start/Pause M button and
wait for Water tap closed?"
message.
q Turn the programme selector
toĂOff.
