Before using
your washing
machine for the
first time
The washing machine must have
been installed and connected properly
refer to Page 5.
Before using your washing machine
for the first time:
q The mains voltage and the voltĆ
age specifications on the washing
machine (rating plate) must correĆ
spond.
q The washing machine must have
been installed and connected
properly.
q Tap must be turned on.
First wash cycle
Selecting the language
i The programme selector must
notĂbe set to Off.
i The language must be selected
before a programme is started.
q Simultaneously press the Menu
and Select buttons and hold
down (5 seconds) until the current
setting is displayed.
q Press the Select button until
theĂdesired signal volume is
displayed.
q Confirm the language selection
byĂpressing the Menu button.
i If no button is pressed, the new
language setting is automatically
accepted after 5 seconds.
i The selected setting is retained
after the wash cycle.
Set clock
i Before the individual settings
canĂbe selected (in particular
"Programme finished at"),
theĂtime must be set, see Page
24.
First wash cycle
(without laundry)
Your appliance was tested before
leaving the factory. To remove any
water left over from testing
procedures, the first washing cycle
should be carried out without laundry
in the machine.
q Do not load any washing.
q Turn the tap on.
q Open the cover on the detergent
drawer.
q Pour approx. 1 litre of water into
dispenser II; see Page 16.
q Half fill the measuring beaker
withĂdetergent and pour into
chamber II.
i Do not use woollens or mild
detergent (foam formation).
q Close the cover on the detergent
drawer.
q Close the door.
q Set the programme selector
toĂCottons y 90 °C.
The Start/Pause M indicator light
flashes (red).
q Press the Start/Pause M button.
The programme starts.
The indicator light is on (red).
i The individual programme steps
are indicated in the display field.
When "Remove washing" is displayed:
q Open the door.
q Turn the programme selector
toĂOff.
