Application
The gradation of Variolink Veneer shades is based on the effect a
cement exerts on the brightness value of the final restoration.
Variolink Veneer Medium Value (MV) 0 affects the brightness value
only slightly or not at all. It demonstrates the highest translucency
and is thus the most neutral in shade. While the High Value (HV)
pastes +1, +2, +3 let the restoration appear brighter, Low Value (LV)
-1, -2, -3 impart a “warmer” or darker character to the restoration.

Apply a small amount of the selected Variolink Veneer Try-In paste to
the restoration and carefully seat it without pressure. If the
restoration cannot be seated easily, check the contact surface as well
as the proximal regions for premature contacts. Do not force the
restoration into place (risk of fracture!). Do not check the occlusion
before the final cementation (risk of fracture!).

Note
– The try-in pastes are water-soluble and can be easily removed

under running tap water or using ultrasonic cleaners. Make sure to
thoroughly clean and dry the restoration.

– Subsequently, the restoration is adhesively cemented using

Variolink Veneer (see Variolink Veneer Instructions for Use).

– A subtle difference between the shade of the try-in paste and that

of the corresponding uncured Variolink Veneer luting composite is
observable. During and after polymerization, the shade of the
Variolink Veneer luting composite undergoes a minimal change.
The shade effect of the try-in pastes is coordinated with that of the
fully cured luting composite.

Storage and shelf life
– Do not use the try-in pastes after the indicated date of expiration.
– Store at room temperature.
– Shelf life: See expiration date
