To install the Gasboy External Filter Kit, proceed as follows:
1 Ensure that the power to the unit has been removed and locked out.
2 Release any residual pressure through the hose nozzle into an approved container.
3 Place an approved catch pan and absorbent material to collect any fuel.
4 Wear safety goggles and carefully remove existing piping.
5 Remove the discharge elbow from the unit and replace it with the 45° elbow (P/N 024877).
6 Install the 2 inch x 1-1/4 inch bushing (P/N 017288) to the filter adapter (P/N 025903). Use
only UL-approved gas and oil resistant pipe compound on all pipe fittings on male threads
only.
Placing pipe compound on female threads can force compound into piping and
possibly cause a malfunction of the equipment.
CAUTION
7 Assemble the 1-1/4 inch x 90° elbow (P/N 017171) to the 2 inch x 1-1/4 inch bushing
(P/N 017287).
8 Assemble the pipe nipple (P/N 044943) to 2-inch x 1-1/2 inch bushing (P/N 017288).
