Introduction
This manual provides instructions for removal of an existing filter adapter and installation of a
Cold Weather field upgrade kit for the External Filter Option. The blue fluorosilicone gaskets
in this kit are intended for units operating in environments with temperatures below 0 degrees
F (-17 degrees C). The filter adapter in this kit incorporates a special groove design necessary
for the cold weather gasket to function properly. The modified adapter and blue cold weather
fluorosilicone gaskets are key parts for the proper operation of this kit.

beginning. The installer must also be familiar with:

• Applicable federal, state and local codes and regulations
Failure to do so may adversely affect the safe use and operation of the equipment.
Note: This kit must be installed by a Gasboy Authorized Service Contractor (ASC) to ensure
warranty.

- 1 Ensure power to unit has been removed and locked out.
- 2 Release any residual pressure through the hose nozzle into an approved container.
- 3 Place approved catch pan and absorbent material to catch any fuel.
- 4 Wearing safety goggles, carefully remove existing filter adapter. Save piping for reuse.
- 5 Remove and discard black gaskets that come with come with the filters.
- 6 Install new filter adapter (P/N 025903, rev D or later) onto piping using UL approved gas and oil resistant pipe compound on male threads only.
- 7 Install filter elements (PN/ 0259000 or P/N 0259001) using the blue fluorosilicone gaskets (M06450B001) in the kit.
- 8 Install the remaining piping with approved pipe compound.
- 9 Dispose of any fuel or absorbent material properly.
- 10 Put unit into service and check for leaks and proper operation.
