Facing Requirements
This appliance is designed to allow for drywall (or other combustible facing) to contact the sides and
top of the front of the fireplace.
NOTE: The combustible area above the facing must not protrude more than 3/4" from the facing. If it does, it
is considered a mantel and must meet the mantel requirements listed in this manual.

Recommended Order of Installation We
recommend installing the facing (drywall, tile)
under the notch at the front of the fireplace
(“a”) - then install the sides and top (“b” and
“c”)
The wall trim comes off,
allowing the installer to cover
the drywall edge below the
