5.2.7 Fault Relay Alarm
The Fault Relay Alarm function provides the Power Failure, Port Link Down/Broken and MAC
Violation detection. Tick the checkbox to enable the relay alarming function. Please refer to the
segment of ‘Wiring the Fault Alarm Contacts’ for the external warning device installation.
• Power Failure: With the checkbox ticked the relay device inside the industrial switch
changes its state and the FAULT LED indicator is on if a power failure occurs.
• Port Link Down/Broken: With the checkbox ticked the relay device inside the industrial
switch changes its state and the FAULT LED indicator is on if the corresponding port’s
states become link down or broken.
• MAC Violation: With the checkbox ticked the relay device inside the industrial switch
changes its state and the FAULT LED indicator is on if a MAC violation event occurs.
