Create event group:

SWITCH(config)#rmon event add <1-65535> <1,127> <1-4> <1,127> <1,32>

Where in order:

<1-65535>is the event group ID.

<1,127> is the text description of this event.

<1-4>is the event type, 1 for NONE, 2 for LOG, 3 for SNMP-TRAP and 4 for LOG-AND-
TRAP.

<1,127>is the group name of management station receiving event trap.

<1, 32> is the creator’s name.

The event group supports the definition of the event. The event can be triggered by the
conditions located in other places of MIB, and it can also trigger the action which is
defined in other places of MIB. The event ensures that the receiving messages are
recorded in this group, and makes the monitor send SNMP trap message to the
management station.

SWITCH(config)#rmon event delete <1-65535>

Where <1-65535>is the event group ID.
